WHAT THE CANDIDATE WILL BE DOING:

They are seeking a driven FrontEnd Developer to join a new team and develop a data platform from scratch for machine learning applications. As this is a new product, the candidate must be a motivated self-starter comfortable with interpreting and implementing technology requirements based on business needs, ensuring maximum user impact. They will develop technology that minimizes technical debt while enhancing the customer experience.

THE ROLE:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Development to provide delivery estimates and manage tasks throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support and develop projects from requirements gathering through to design and release.
  • Ensure focus on quality, maintainability, performance, and testing.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Keep their data separated and secure across multiple data centers and AWS regions.
  • Manage technical optimization for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Contribute to shaping company and engineering culture as an early-stage hire.

WHO THE CANDIDATE IS:

  • 8+ years of development experience.
  • Strong coding skills in React using TypeScript.
  • Experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM framework) and Continuous Integration practices.
  • Practical experience in developing highly scalable solutions using micro-service architecture designed to democratize data within an organization.
  • Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to excel in a highly demanding, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment.
  • Highly adaptable, good tolerance for ambiguity, and able to quickly adjust to changing priorities.
  • A proactive top performer with a doer and problem-solver mentality.
  • An exceptional team player with strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English is preferred but not mandatory.
