Senior Software Engineer

Full time direct permanent contract with Product Company
Barcelona (1 per week)
Salary range: 60K

Your Responsibilities

• Build and maintain product data solutions, including web-based apps, RESTful APIs, and data pipelines, applying microservice and event-driven design principles.
  
• Enable seamless data integration from on-premise systems to cloud environments, as well as from third-party sources into the company’s ecosystem.
  
• Design and deploy cloud-native monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure system reliability and transparency.
  
• Utilize serverless and stateless computing services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), such as Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.
  
• Take ownership of the full software lifecycle: refining requirements with stakeholders, designing technical solutions, developing, and driving continuous improvements.
  
• Encourage innovation in the product data space by introducing modern tools and best practices.
  

Your Background

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent qualification.
  
• Extensive hands-on experience in backend engineering using Java and Spring Boot.
  
• Proven track record building distributed, large-scale applications with microservices, resilience patterns, and well-structured RESTful APIs.
  
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  
• Understanding of quality assurance practices and testing methodologies.
  
• Practical experience developing microservices on cloud platforms (preferably GCP) is a strong advantage.
  
• Experience with data management, particularly product data management in retail, is highly desirable.
