About the Role

A cross-functional agile team is looking for a QA Engineer to help guarantee the delivery of reliable and high-quality digital products for a the Retail industry.

This position involves designing and executing test strategies, automating test suites, and maintaining product quality across web and mobile platforms. The QA Engineer will collaborate with developers, designers, and product owners throughout the entire software lifecycle, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and quality-first thinking.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile apps.
  • Perform exploratory, regression, and end-to-end testing to ensure system reliability.
  • Define acceptance criteria together with product owners and ensure solutions are testable.
  • Monitor pipelines and builds, spotting and reporting defects early in the cycle.
  • Improve test strategies, automation coverage, and QA best practices.
  • Document testing processes and contribute to quality guidelines for the wider team.
  • Advocate for quality as a shared responsibility across engineering squads.

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a QA Engineer or similar role.
  • Experience testing web and mobile applications.
  • Solid understanding of testing practices and methodologies.
  • Hands-on with tools such as Postman, DevTools, Charles Proxy.
  • Knowledge of test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
  • API testing capabilities and experience with automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps workflows.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in English (Spanish is a plus).

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Exposure to performance or security testing.
  • Basic scripting/programming knowledge (JavaScript, Python).
  • Familiarity with mobile automation (Appium, XCUITest).
  • Experience working in large-scale product teams.
