Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership:
   Act as subject matter experts for the platform, offering guidance, support, and strategic advice to developers and the product organization on best practices and implementation.
  
• Community Development:
   Cultivate and expand a dynamic, engaged global developer ecosystem by coordinating meetups, hackathons, and other collaborative, community-centered initiatives.
  
• Advocacy and Outreach:
   Represent the platform in the broader tech community by participating in and speaking at events, conferences, and webinars, while engaging with developers, technical leaders, and key stakeholders.
  
• Feedback Integration:
   Collect valuable insights from the developer community and channel this feedback to internal product and engineering teams to drive platform enhancements and refinements.
  
• Software Development Excellence:
   Spearhead initiatives aimed at promoting high standards in software engineering across the developer community, focusing on the following areas:
  

• Development Processes:
   Promote and support the adoption of modern, efficient workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, Agile development, and DevOps methodologies.
  
• Code Quality Standards:
   Encourage the use of automated testing, structured code reviews, and clear documentation to maintain high-quality codebases.
  
• Performance and Scalability:
   Offer expert advice on designing systems that are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
  
• Security Awareness:
   Advocate for secure coding principles and the integration of security considerations throughout the software development lifecycle.
  
• Innovation Enablement:
   Inspire the use of emerging technologies and novel engineering approaches to optimize the development process.
  

• Cross-functional Collaboration:
   Work in close coordination with product and engineering teams to ensure alignment between developer outreach efforts and broader company strategies.

Candidate Profile

• Professional Experience:
   Possesses at least 10 years of experience in software development, technical evangelism, or a related engineering leadership role.
  
• Technical Expertise:
   Demonstrates strong knowledge in modern software engineering, tools, and languages, including but not limited to:
  

• Programming Languages and Frameworks:
   Proficient in multiple technologies such as TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Go, and infrastructure tools like Terraform.
  
• Process Optimization:
   Experienced in CI/CD systems and tools such as GitHub Actions, Argo CD, and Flux.
  
• Code Quality Assurance:
   Skilled in using automated testing tools and static code analysis tools like JUnit, Selenium, SonarQube, and ESLint.
  
• System Design:
   Knowledgeable in designing scalable microservices and leveraging cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or AWS.
  
• Secure Development:
   Familiar with industry-standard security practices and frameworks, including the OWASP Top Ten, and able to embed security in the development workflow.
  

• Communication Skills:
   Excels in both verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey complex technical topics to varied audiences.
  
• Community Engagement:
   Experienced in building, managing, and nurturing vibrant developer communities.
  
• Drive and Passion:
   Deeply enthusiastic about technology, innovation, and enabling developers to succeed through knowledge and community.
