SOFTWARE ENGINEER (DevOps)

 

About us

Ypsomed is a successful international company for medical products. Software is becoming increasingly

important in the digitalization of products. We have the following segments in our portfolio, where you

will have a relevant role. Our focus is: Injection systems for self-medication.

App development: We develop applications that our end users are using on daily basis with our software

in the context of a medical software.

 

Responsibilities

• Design, setup and support of the development, test and production environments required for

the software application development lifecycle

• Automate processes for the generation of builds and releases as well as for the execution of

interface tests, regression tests and software delivery (continuous delivery, continuous

integration, build pipeline, code management, etc.)

• Design, monitor and update the development lifecycle toolchain to resolve blocks in the

processes, transactions and platforms.

• Collaborate with other software engineers to ensure that the product development follows the

established processes and standards.Coordinate all activities that serve to monitor the

availability, recoverability (continuity), performance and resource consumption of applications

in a Cloud environment.

• Coaching and guidance of team members in the area of "DevOps”

• Creation and updating of documentation (models, integrations, test procedures, technical user

manual, etc.)

• Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas

 

Requirements

• Degree from technical college or university (e.g bachelor): computer science, electrical

engineering or equivalent

• Min 2 years of experience as Cloud Engineer with a broad technology knowledge (preferably in

the areas of Cloud / Apps / Deployment)

• Experience with managing OSes such as Windows, Linux, iOS or Android...Min 1 years of

experience developing software (using languages such as C#, Java, Python, ..)

• Good knowledge of automated build and deployment tools (Azure Pipelines preferred)

• Good communication skills

• Good knowledge of English

• Troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Passion for continuously learning new technologies

 

Valuable knowledge/competences/experience (not required)

• Experience in medical technology or other regulated industries

• Experience with Terraform

• Experience with Containers (E.g. Docker, Kubernetes)

• Microsoft Azure Certifications (Developer Associate / Security Engineer Associate / Azure

Administrator...)

• Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC.

• Strong awareness of networking

• Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required.
